AMORI TO UPHOLD AGE-LONG ROUTINE HOSTING OF ETHIOPE WEST APC MEMBERS IN MOSOGAR
Today’s gathering, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the residence of Senator Ighoyota Amori in Mosogar, is expected to further strengthen internal cohesion within the APC in Ethiope West

As part of sustained efforts to strengthen unity, coordination and grassroots mobilisation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ighoyota Amori, is set to host party members from Ethiope West Local Government Area today, Friday, at his residence in Mosogar.

The meeting, which is a routine engagement initiated by the Chief Adviser several years ago, is aimed at keeping party members connected, informed and united, especially at critical moments in the party’s political journey. It is expected to bring together leaders and stakeholders from the various wards of Ethiope West in a familiar setting that encourages open dialogue, merriment and family ties.

It will be recalled that in January 23rd APC stakeholders’ gathered, in a meeting convened by the State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba. At that meeting, which had stakeholders from the 25 local government areas in attendance, emphasis was placed on party unity, electronic registration, grassroots mobilisation, and active participation in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) and APC membership registration ahead of the party’s congresses and the 2027 general elections.

In a statement made available to journalists by the Public Relations Officer to the Chief Adviser, Joelson Wilson, today’s meeting in Mosogar was described as part of a long-standing tradition designed to strengthen the party from the ward level upward in an atmosphere of merriment.

“What will be happening today is not new,” Wilson said. “It is a tradition started long ago by the Distinguished Senator Chief Ighoyota Amori and it has continued from ward to ward, with leaders in each ward taking turns to host party members. Today, it has rotated back to Ugbokpa Ward 2, which has the Leader and Pioneer of the party in Ethiope West, the Chief Adviser himself.”

According to him, the timing of the meeting makes it even more significant, as the party prepares for its forthcoming congresses.

“It is happening at a very crucial time, when the party is getting set for the congresses. Meetings like this help to align everyone, clear doubts, and ensure that the same message of fellowship and togetherness gets to the grassroots,” he added.

Wilson further explained that eleven leaders from each ward, including councillors, usually attend the meetings and are expected to take discussions and resolutions back to their ward members.

“This is a family of people with shared interests,” he noted. “And like every family, you must meet from time to time to reinforce unity and keep everyone properly informed. Information is powerful, and regular fellowship helps to eliminate assumptions, misinformation and propaganda.”

The Ethiope West meeting also follows the rotational hosting pattern within the local government. In January, APC members in the area were hosted by former Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Emmanuel Ighomena of Oghareki Ward 10.

Today’s gathering, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the residence of Senator Ighoyota Amori in Mosogar, is expected to further strengthen internal cohesion within the APC in Ethiope West, as the party continues to position itself for upcoming internal processes and future elections.
