Poco Lee Breaks Silence on UK Case, Says He Knows He Did Nothing Wrong
Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken publicly about his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom, insisting that he remained calm because he knew he had not committed the offences alleged against him.

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has spoken publicly about his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom, insisting that he remained calm because he knew he had not committed the offences alleged against him.

Poco Lee made the comments during a video conversation with social commentator VeryDarkMan, who shared the discussion on Instagram on Sunday.

The entertainer said his major concern throughout the ordeal was the impact of the situation on his associates and business activities.

«“I was just being myself; God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people: Jago could not do anything business-wise; I didn’t want to stress anyone,” he said.»

Poco Lee explained that his state of mind would have been different if he believed he was guilty of the allegations.

«“If I were inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he said.»

He also acknowledged the support he received from some of his associates, including Nigerian singer Burna Boy and social media personality Rahman Jago.

During the conversation, VeryDarkMan also expressed support for Poco Lee and raised questions about some of the conflicting reports that had circulated online concerning the entertainer’s case.

There had been claims on social media that Poco Lee had been released from prison, while other reports suggested that the complainant had withdrawn the case or that the matter had been resolved out of court.

However, the UK Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that the case remained active.

Responding to an inquiry by PUNCH Online, the CPS Press Office said Poco Lee was scheduled to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).

“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS said.

A PTPH is a pre-trial hearing at which issues concerning the defendant’s plea and preparations for trial are considered.

The CPS did not disclose whether Poco Lee was in custody or had been granted bail at the time of the report. An inquiry had also been sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for further clarification.

Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK: one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

The case reportedly arose following his visit to the UK for the Davido and Friends concert held at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.

The court has imposed reporting restrictions to protect the identity of the complainant in accordance with Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.

Poco Lee has denied the allegations. The charges remain before the court and have not been determined.

He has not been convicted of any offence.
